Myke Skyé AKA Mike Moreno
(Skyé is pronounced Sky! Like reach for the Sky)

Myke was born, raised, and currently resides in New Mexico. As an adult, he has been influenced by his nomadic American style of apartment hopping, which has taken him on many adventures throughout the country. This can be attributed to his love of traveling carnivals and circuses as a child, which also opened his mind to artistic fantasy and illusion. He also gets his artistic inspiration from the magnetic energy of love, inspired by the cosmic wavelength of Disco music.

In his art and writing, he prefers invention and crudeness over the structured formulae prescribed by society. In his writing, he also uses language in tune with his melting-pot of heritage, which intertwines Mexican, Native American, Spanish/New Mexican, and English-speaking cultures.

As a Chicano Queer elder, he hopes to spread the gospel of Queer folklore and its importance to history so that it is never erased.
