Some lovely anonymous zine-maker dropped these off on my doorstep, and I'm so thankful that they did!  This is a fantastic work-zine, or should I say ANTI-work zine, all about what it's like to be a cashier at Trader Joe's, the grocery store chain that prides itself on its friendly and casual atmosphere.  But looks can be deceiving, as this zine describes, and all the "feel good" vibes seem to be just another marketing gimmick.

This issue includes an analysis of a Freakanomics podcast episode all about Trader Joe's, which was interesting.  We also learn the secret seven rules that Trader Joe's claims as its basis for success.  Does TJ's follow its own rules?  Doesn't seem like it!  Integrity?  What's that?  Lol. The author makes it clear that there is no judgement if you shop at TJ's.  Gotta get your food from somewhere!  But this is a great reminder that no matter what anyone says, CORPORATIONS ARE NOT PEOPLE, and they sure as hell ain't your friends!  They're all a bunch of greedy bastards, but I guess us zine-readers already knew that.

Great read, and a great peek behind the curtain. Half-size, black and white, 32 pages. Written by __________, distributed by Billy McCall.
