m.e. gamlem is a queer writer from New Mexico. Their work focuses on the intersections of sexuality, disability, economic struggle, mental health, and the path towards liberation for all creatures. They are a MFA Fiction candidate in the Low Residency MFA program at the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe and as of 2025 they are the managing editor of The Sierra Nevada Review. Their poems, essays, and short stories have appeared in The Potomac Review, Mouth Full of Salt, ANARKISS, and elsewhere. The are currently the editor of Velvet Grey, an online literary journal. The reissue of their self-published collection Cutting Teeth came in 2024. In 2026 they published their novelette The Suicide Museum.
